“This funding is an opportunity for cultural organisations to avail of expert musical tuition which can benefit their members as individuals as well as the wider group and community.

“The birth of any child is a happy occasion for any family – I had personal experience of this just a few months ago when I became a grandfather for the second time. But the birth of a Prince is something special. It is, of course, a joyous occasion for the Royal family but it is also something the entire nation feels part of.

Statement by Jim Allister MLA:

“I am delighted that the HRH Prince of Wales and the Duchess were able to visit my constituency area of Ballymena.

“Their visit to Wrightbus only weeks after the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, reflects the international success as far afield as London and America the company has had in the last year.

“The importance of private sector growth cannot be emphasised enough; in order to improve living standards in the province and attract inward investment, dynamic companies such as Wrightbus and other local businesses need to continue to build on their success. Continue Reading…

Statement by Jim Allister:

“The savage 18% hike in electricity prices is further demonstration of the abject failure of the Common Electricity Market. Before the SEN was established the trend was towards meeting the lower electricity prices in the rest of the UK, since joining the SEN we have diverged towards meeting the higher prices of the Republic of Ireland, where monopoly and old plant produce inefficiency.

“The SEN was supposed to bring competition and lower prices. Instead it has brought us under ROI monopolistic practices and control and, thus, higher prices. Another rip roaring success for DETI and devolution!”
