“The Parades Commission also needs to face up to the cost its foolish and vindictive decisions are imposing on the public purse. Mr Osborne and his fellow commissioners need to recognise the cost of the indulgence of their anti-Orange prejudice. If they had sensibly permitted the return leg of the Ardoyne parade, instead of trying to humiliate the organisers, then, the matter would have long since been forgotten and there would be no excuse for the over-policing of nightly peaceful protests.”
